Wanted: Exceptional PHP ecommerce script
Price, not important, functionality, very important.
We are looking for an excellent ecommerce shopping cart / portal for an art gallery, which hopes to sell a wide variety of items. I need a robust, flexable, powerful, efficient, well thought out, well made, easy to use, intuitive ecommerce site
Something with a blog for the front page or a word press style, where we can put new information, or updates, or promote a sale, put news / knowledge etc… spring, summer, fall, winter sales, holiday sales, announcements. Maybe even put out auctions or consignment sales.
Very Important.
1. Search Engine – powerful and efficient, whether price, color, subject, artist, keyword search, misspelling search, so if someone misspells a word the site can say, did you mean such and such.
2. Mailing list - ability to have a mailing list signup opt in opt out with ability to determine how often they get emails and to check off boxes about what kind of stuff they are interested in getting.
3. Easy to Customize, change, enhance, improve.
4. Excellent Tech Support
5. Excellent support if wanting to do modifications
6. The script has been around for years, is mature, had all its kinks worked out
7. the script is reliable / robust / doesn’t break easy.
8. well documented code / no spaghetti code design, or wacky unintuitive variables
9. ultra dynamic, things aren’t so interlinked that if you change or fix one thing, 3 other things break.
4 Dimensions to this script…..
1. Owner - In house, that’s us the Admins of the site – we have the ability to setup promotions / sales / clearance, this is where we randomly select 20 items, or add 20 new items to the site, put them at a regular price, then, have that regular price with a line through it, and a red sale price would be under it for the new price. Access 1,000s of products, have a mailing list. Good panel functionality, ability to send out html mails to the list, or send out custom mails to only specific people base on the area they customized
2. Customer Needs to – Search, login, order, status
